Video conferencing equipment and interactive whiteboards are expensive bits of kit and deciding whether or not to invest in them can be tough, especially if you’re not entirely sure how your business will use them. There are all sorts of issues that you need to consider before you make an investment, for example:
How often will you need conferencing facilities – regularly, or just now and then?
Who will you conference with – just one other person, or would it be handy to connect to several different locations, or to be able to deploy video conferencing quickly to dozens of people located all over the country or world?
How are you likely to use conferencing? Is it important that you have visual contact, or is sharing and collaborating on data more important? Do you need a visualiser so you can send over close up images of machinery, for example?
We often find that companies who believe they need video conferencing facilities later find that while it’s handy being able to see other people, in fact being able to share and collaborate on data would be more useful. However, without actually trying out the technology available it can be difficult to imagine how you will use it, and even more difficult to make a decision on how best to spend your budget. That’s where our Room in Action event can help.
Room in Action is a free event taking place at three venues (London, Surrey and Basingstoke) where experts will demonstrate the benefits of remote communication and the different types of technology available. During our Room in Action event we will be using video conferencing systems, the latest SMART interactive white boards and software that lets you combine the two and access data and video conference calls on a range of devices including smartphones and tablets. Each session can be tailored to the audience so if you are especially interested in using visualisers, for example, we can do that. If you’re currently considering investing in any form of conferencing equipment then our Room in Action event will give you a chance to explore the options available, including supporting software and applications. You’ll get to see the technology in action and discuss how you want to use it and what sort of return on investment you’d get. And at the end of the session, we hope you’ll be in a better position to make an informed decision that will truly benefit your business.
Room in Action takes place on Tuesday 15th May and we’ll be running several hour-long sessions throughout the day at all three venues. Tickets are free but limited, so make sure you book your place today to ensure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to see the very latest in video conferencing and data sharing technology in action.
