Assessment software helps you evaluate and understand your pupils’ progress and identify areas that need attention. Information from class reports to individual reports can be viewed as tables, pie charts or bar graphs and can be exported. Assessment systems are available to suit the needs of pupils of all ages and abilities.
Taking the form of interactive quizzes, the assessment software engages pupils during lessons. Questions can be added into a designated Notebook file during the presentation while SMART users can create bespoke question sets.
SMART and user created questions & question sets are available from the SMART Exchange. The software also provides a wide variety of reporting options that enable you to evaluate class or individual responses and scores.
Reports can be created, customised and exported to Excel either at the end of a session or a gradebook can be created enabling ongoing assessment. The fact that the software runs in SMART Notebook enables existing SMART Board users to utilise an assessment add on within existing SMART Notebook lesson plans.
An alternative to SMART Response is TurningPoint. This is arguably more powerful software which can be used and run in any program. Assessment questions can be written in PowerPoint and integarted into existing Powerpoint presentations or run over any program on the PC.
