OneLan
Digital signage is one of
the most effective ways of communicating
a message to your customers and staff. Smarter
Interactive are recommending OneLan as an
ideal solution to provide flexibility and
scalability. The OneLan Net-Top-box is a
small high-speed network appliance with
built-in web server allowing users to configure
scheduled, zoned multi-media content for
a variety of display screens.
Sharp,
Clear Images
OneLan works with any LCD, CRT, Plasma or
projector, and displays all content in high-resolution
output (up to 1280x1024), which means that
text and graphics are crystal clear and
easily viewable from a distance.
Compelling
content at the touch of a button
OneLan lets you capture live text feeds
and information direct from the Internet.
For example these can include the latest
news or sport from the BBC or Sky News.
You can even display Freeview TV channels
via the built in tuner or external device
(subject to service provider agreement).
Totally
Reliable
OneLan is based on proven industry standard
high-speed PC hardware running the Linux
operating system. It is highly reliable
and will deliver your displayed messages
whether you are there or not.
Easy
to Use
OneLan's software means that any member
of staff can update the displayed messaging
with the minimum of training. You input
information through a set of simple, familiar
web browser pages, which allows you to upload
all sorts of media files, including video,
audio, animation, graphics and scrolling
text.
Flexible
OneLan lets you split the display into zones,
each of which is independently controlled.
Create playlists for each zone, which determine
the sequence the content is displayed in.
Once the playlists are set up, there is
no limit to the number of combinations you
can create. OneLan comes with a series of
display layout templates as standard, but
because OneLan uses industry standard XML
formatting, your IT manager can easily create
their own bespoke display layout templates.
Scaleable
OneLan provides the option to add both multiple
screens and multiple boxes. A complete network
of OneLan boxes can be controlled from one
Publisher box. The Publisher can upload
new content to a server which the network
of Subscriber OneLan boxes downlaod updated
content from at a set time.
No PC
Software
All of this control and management is achieved
by accessing the web server within the OneLan.
There's no loading of software onto individual
PCs needed (other than a standard internet
browser), no worries about having an outdated
version and no licensing issues.
