Add any non computer based material
There are a range of visualisers on the market from different manufacturers. Depending upon your environment application and budget we can recommend the most appropriate brand or product. However, regardless of which products you choose the addition of a visualiser to any interactive screen or video conferencing solution enables the ability for non-computer-based content to be viewed and shared. If you would like to be able to view a visulaiser image on a screen with your own handwritten notes added over the top the visualiser needs to connect to the PC through USB.
Using a visualiser with SMART Boards
By adding a visualiser to a SMART Board solution you combine the ability to write handwritten notes over any image with the ability to display anything that is not on a computer already. A simple example is the ability to pick up a students workbook and display this to anyone who can see the screen. As well as being able to view the workbook handwritten notes can be added over the workbook image and these notes can be moved and captured. Another example is the ability to show things to the whole class that they might otherwise struggle to view such as a science experiment, a leaf or some artwork.
If the school decides to invest in a SMART visualiser the image from the visualizer will appear as a window within SMART Notebook. This allows the content to seamlessly become part of your lesson plan and the image can be written over, recorded, captured and opened on multiple pages.
