Classroom Solution

No two classrooms have the same requirements for an Interactive Whiteboard or Projector installation. Ceiling heights may affect projector placement and the year group can influence board height and location. Network points, power sockets, audio options and security also need to be considered.

The free site survey and on site meeting will clarify the best solution to meet you requirements, however some of the key considerations will include:

Projector Specification
There are numerous projectors available on the market today, however it is important that we help you select a model that best meets your needs and offers value for money. This will include:

Brightness
This is measured in Lumens and will determine whether the projector is bright enough to display the size of image you require given the levels of ambient lighting in the room.

Resolution
This measures how many pixels there are on the screen and it is important that this is both compatible with the computer you are using the projector with and will also be ‘future proof.’

Warranty
Smarter Interactive will only provide projector models with a proven track record of reliability. However, to offer additional peace of mind we also include a minimum three year swap out warranty together with a spare lamp module or equivalent lamp warranty as well.

SMART Board Model
There are three different sizes of SMART Board available. We will help you choose the model that best suits the size of room it is to be installed and the year group that will be using it.

Installation Options
We have a range of installation options available to best suit your requirements however our standard installation option is our Gold Package. This includes:

• An installation which follows the measurements agreed on the Site Survey
• Custom made projector brackets with built in security
• Fully trained engineers with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
• All VGA, Video, Audio and USB cables terminated to a custom made wall plate
• All connection leads and a VGA Splitter if required
• 12 month warranty on all installation components
• Audio Upgrade option for full multi-media use

Boom Installation
For schools with high ceilings, listed buildings or asbestos, we can offer a boom installation. The boom is an extended arm which is bolted to the wall above the Smart Board, with the projector mounted at the end.

The standard boom is a permanent fixture. We can also offer a retractable boom which can be folded against the wall when not in use, or shortened booms with specially adapted short throw projectors (link)

Training
It is vital that after an installation is complete that your school receives training to ensure the staff can use the system. Therefore every Smarter Interactive customer will receive 1 on-site training session including;

• Set up and configuration of the system
• Use as a whiteboarding tool
• Creating and manipulating objects
• Clone and lock objects
• How to save, print and distribute lesson material
• Use of the Gallery
